This website hosts material used by the R Postgraduate research group at Victoria University of Wellington. Specifically, these pages hold notebooks created as part of a book club, reading the following book:

Format

Weekly meetings going over different sections of the book. Each week is run by a workshop participant who will:

  1. Create a .qmd notebook file to make note of key points, examples, and anything else from the reading.
  2. Summarise the main points / takeaways from the reading (including using code).
  3. Include new examples and/or questions remaining about the reading.
  4. (Potentially) modify based on discussion
  5. Feel free to link to or use prior lesson material (follow link in sidebar)

Participants are asked to please read the relevant sections before each workshop - the goal is for us to work through the material collaboratively.
